Made in Nature: My Two Favorite New Snacks (and One I Couldn’t Stand)

Disclosure: I received product from Mambo Sprouts and Made in Nature to facilitate this review. All opinions are always my own.

Made in Nature
One of the fun parts of blogging is getting to try new products before or as soon as they hit the market.

Made in Nature, a company that specializes in healthy dried fruit snacks, is expanding to all sorts of organic, superfood, whole food snacks, and I got to try out their new line!

For one thing, Made in Nature products hit all my requirements. They are:

  • Organic
  • Non-GMO
  • Made with no added sugar
  • Sulfite-free
  • Free of artificial colors

My absolute favorite product is the Tart Cherry Figgy Pops. It’s kind of like a Larabar, but in ball form. My kids really liked these too.  All the ingredients are recognizable and pronouncable: figs, dates, coconut, and cashews.

We’ve been eating the Figgy Pops as an after school snack, and it’s perfect to power through the afternoon with.

We liked the Kale Chips much, much less. I mean, c’mon. They’re Kale Chips. I wanted to like them; they sounded so good with the herbs, and the truffle oil.

Kale Chips

Nope. Nope, nope, nope.

Much better, both for snacking AND use in recipes, are the Coconut Chips. They’re a perfect crunchy topping to a simple bowl of vanilla ice cream, but I’ll be honest: I just eat them by the handful. Especially the Italian Espresso flavor. Yum.  I tried them on top of my Piña Colada Smoothie Recipe, and they added a nice little crunch and richness to the whole glass!

  1. Hi Sarah, Thank you for writing this review of our snack products. So glad you and your family enjoyed the FiggyPops and Coconut Chips. Love how you used the coconut on your pina colada smoothie! We have to admit that we are surprised to hear you did not like the Kale Chips, as many people say they are the best out there. It would be helpful to us and your readers if you elaborated a little more about why you didn’t like them. Do you think it was the Rosemary Truffle flavor? We would be happy to send you other flavors to try if you are interested. Thanks for the honest feedback! – Susan @ Made In Nature

    • Hi Susan! Thank you for sending me all those goodies. You know, I liked the texture of the Kale chips. I normally like truffle-flavored things, but I think maybe it was just too earthy for me with the Kale. I know a lot of people who love them though!
