Easy After School Snacks for Busy Afternoons | #SproutFoods

It’s 3:30. The kids jump off the bus and give me a big hug. Holding hands, we walk into the house, talking about our days. As the children remove their folders and lunch bags from their bookbags (unbidden!), they politely ask for an after-school snack.

Are you done laughing yet?

No, this is NOT what happens in my house after school lets out.

Easy After School Snacks

The reality sounds like a bunch of hounds being released in a tornado. There is screaming, howling, complaining, and physical mayhem.

There is ONE thing that makes that after-school time a little easier though. My secret weapon?

The snack bin!

Snack Bin

I have a small plastic bin where there are healthy snacks that I know my kids will eat without argument. I always stock the snack bin with Sprout® Organic squeezers. Yes, they’re more for toddlers, but they are delicious, organic and non-GMO,  and super easy for my school-age kids to grab and eat while they’re wreaking havoc in other parts of the house.

So that is ONE thing that goes smoothly. Easy after school snacks.

Homework time? That’s another story.

What is your favorite way to make after-school time go more smoothly? I’d love to hear some suggestions!

  1. I often put a bottle of juice in my son’s bag. Tomorrow I’ll put a snack bin. I think he will love it.

  2. In either case it’s a scam, not just a hack.

  3. Limiting how a lot alcohol you drink can even improve your fertility and the
    success of fertility therapies.
