Are you Ready for Free Comic Book Day 2015?

Comic books and graphic novels are wonderful tools to get kids enthused about reading. Whether or not a child is a reluctant reader, comic books can entice them to open up to diverse and thought-provoking storylines that engage a child’s imagination.
This year, I’m bringing my son to Free Comic Book Day!
 Free Comic Book Day

How Free Comic Book Day works:

  • Use the location finder to find participating locations near you
  • See a listing of this year’s free titles
  • Head out on Saturday, May 2, 2015 to your local Comic Book Store to grab your FREE COMIC BOOKS!
What is great about this event is that it is ALL AGES. There are  always LOTS of titles available that are kid-friendly. Peruse the list of the 50 free comic books that are available this year.   I know my kid is jonesing for the Pokemon comic that they’re offering.
You’ll want to contact your local store for more details, but many stores make it a yearly event, with artists, vendors, and food.  Also, some shops give away MORE than 1 free comic, so you might be in for a surprise.
Even if you’re not into comics or graphic novels yourself, you just might find something you’ll like — or at least something that would make a cool gift!
If you want to follow the fun on social media, post your FCBD photos using #fcbd or #fcbd2015.

Have you been to Free Comic Book Day before? What has your experience been like? Share in the comments!
