Both of my children have asthma. My son’s is mild, but my daughter’s asthma can be severe, especially during the seasonal changes we are dealing with right now. Because both of my children have these sensitivities, I try very hard to maintain my healthy home by only bringing in products that I know are non-toxic and free of chemicals.
One of my favorite organizations, Healthy Child Healthy World, has recently endorsed the Ology brand of household and personal products.
Ology products, found exclusively at Walgreens, are free of 10 of the most harmful chemicals: Ammonia, Chlorine bleach, DEA (diethanolamine), TEA (triethanolamine), Parabens, Phthalates, Formaldehyde, Nonylphenol ethoxylates, Triclosan, SLS, SLES.
What I love is that Ology also has a line of paper products that are made from 100% tree-free materials.
The Ology paper towels and toilet paper are ultra-absorbent and made from renewable and sustainable sugar husk and bamboo. We haven’t used paper towels in our house in years, and I almost never miss them. Until something gross, usually involving bodily fluids, happens. Those are the times when I wish I had a great disposable alternative. Ology makes a great 100% tree-free paper towel, and they even have a line of toilet paper – since our family is not using washable TP any time soon.
The Ology paper products are strong, soft, and really hold up well.
Any time I can find a product that is reasonably priced, convenient at a local store, and free of harmful chemicals, that’s a win. Ology products fit all of those requirements!
I love that it’s so easy to find the Ology line at my local Walgreens – I’m lucky because I have a Walgreens within walking distance of my house! Here’s the shampoo, which I was so excited to try because I’ve been looking for a really good, and not super-expensive paraben-free shampoo.
Have you tried Ology products? I’d love to hear about your experiences! Follow the conversation on Twitter using the #WalgreensOlogy hashtag!
