The Easiest Pumpkin Smoothie Recipe

If you’re looking for the easiest, healthiest, and most delicious Pumpkin Smoothie Recipe, you’ve finally found it!  I have been experimenting for weeks to get the perfect blend of pumpkin and spice in my pumpkin smoothie, and I think I’ve finally found it.

This particular pumpkin smoothie recipe is pretty healthy too – it contains plenty  of Vitamin A, , plus Vitamin C and potassium.  When you get one of those popular pumpkin spice drinks at a coffee shop, it is sure to be filled with sugar and junk.  In fact, these are the ingredients in a Starbucks pumpkin spice syrup (what goes into the smoothies or lattes):

CONDENSED NONFAT MILK, SUGAR, HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP, ANNATO (FOR COLOR), NATURAL AND ARITIFICIAL FLAVORS, CARAMEL COLOR, SALT, POTASSIUM SORBATE (PRESERVATIVE).

EW!  Besides a formidable amount of sugar, the artificial flavors and preservatives are pretty gross on their own.  If, like many people, you are trying to reduce your daily sugar intake, any sort of flavored drink at a restaurant is likely full of sugar, sugar substitutes, artificial sugar, or other sweeteners.

Thankfully, it is super easy to make your own Pumpkin Smoothie!  There is NO refined sugar in this recipe – just 1 tbsp of maple syrup per serving. Be sure to use local, pure maple syrup for best results. I’ve been making these all week and they come out perfectly delicious every time! It’s like Thanksgiving dessert in a cup! And it’s truly the easiest pumpkin smoothie recipe you will find.

  1. This looks amazing. It’s hard to cut all the sugars out with them being in everything. We will definitely give this one a try!

  2. I like the addition of maple syrup. I’m definitely going to try this.

  3. I’m curious about the taste =)

    • Honestly, Jamie, it tastes like pumpkin pie. But lighter, obviously. I will say both my kids (3 and 5) drank it all up! I really enjoyed it too! And it was a nice change from my normal green smoothies. :)
