CSA Share | Kale, Turnips, and Radishes, oh My!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

CSA season!

I sent my hubby to pick up our first CSA share from Wickham Farms this Monday (I was home with a sick kid). This is what he came home with:

From left to right:

Lettuce, Turnips, Chives, Oregano, Spinach, Sugar Snap Peas, Radishes, Kale

SO much fresh green goodness in there! (And please forgive the plastic bags – I forgot to tell hubby to bring the reusable bags).

I’m working on a recipe using the turnips for tomorrow, but already I’ve used the kale and the chives in my morning scrambled eggs (in butter, if you please!):

I scramble my eggs in butter, and when they’re 80% done, add in the chopped up kale & chives. Mix up, add salt & pepper, and done.

Tonight I’m making up an easy green smoothie with the Kale AND the spinach. Looking forward to having that as a snack tomorrow.
