Wegmans Recalls Flour, Bread Products

Wegmans, known for “food you feel good about,” recently announced several large recalls of Wegmans brand food items. Here is the information you need to know:

 Pillsbury Best All Purpose Bleached Enriched Flour, 5 lb - All codes sold between December 28, 2012 and February 20, 2013 — recalled for the presence of small blue polyurethane balls.

 Wegmans All-Purpose Bleached Flour, 5 lb. - ONLY product with a “best by” date of 12/20/13 — recalled because of those pesky blue balls again.

Wegmans brand bread products, multiple varietiesAll the following bread products sold between February 1 and February 15, 2013 (all recalled die to mesh wire fragments):

Wegmans Food You Feel Good About 100% Whole Wheat Mini Pita Bread, 12oz -
Wegmans Food You Feel Good About Omega-3, 100% Whole Wheat Bread, 17oz -
Wegmans Food You Feel Good About Whole Grain Bread, 24oz
Wegmans Food You Feel Good About Whole Wheat Bread, 24oz
Wegmans Multigrain Whole Wheat Thin Sandwich Rolls, 12oz
Wegmans Food You Feel Good About Mini Multigrain Pita Bread, 11oz
Wegmans Food You Feel Good About Honey Apple Oat Bread, 24oz

Arnold Healthfull Multi-grain Bread, 18 oz. and Stroehmann Dutch Country 100% Whole Wheat Bread, 24 oz (ONLY product with a “Best By” date prior to and including February 20, 2013) — presence of mesh wire possible from 3rd party flour mill.

However, Wegmans products were NOT involved in the recent organic baby spinach recalls.
