How to leave Target with Cash: No Coupons Needed!

If you have a smartphone, you can be earning money every single time you shop at Target, Walmart, or Walgreens.

How?

Ibotta.

Ibotta is a brand new app — seriously, it just launched yesterday — that is going to comepletely change how we save money. In less time than you can say “clip a coupon,” you can earn up to $1.75 per item you buy at the store.

Here’s how it works:

  • You download the FREE Ibotta app. Currently it’s only available for iPhone, but the Android version is coming soon.
  • Check out the product gallery. You can earn up to $1.75 for each product by doing simple tasks like learning a fact, answering a question, or watching a 10-second video.
  • Go shopping. When you’re done, scan your receipt with the app. If you’ve purchased any of the items that you’ve completed tasks for, you get that money straight into your paypal account (with a low $5 payout!). Feeling altruistic? Have the cash donated straight to ANY school in America.

Here’s a sample matchup at Target that is available RIGHT NOW using the free Ibotta app:

Buy 1 International Delight Creamer – $3.14 for 32-oz at Target
Use $0.75 off one Target Store Coupon
Stack with $0.55 off 1 Printable Manufacturer’s Coupon
Get  $1.00 cash back with Ibotta
Final Price = $0.84 for 32-oz after Ibotta cash. :)

Why should you sign up now?  Since the app just launched, this is testing the waters and you’ll want to get in the first introductory group of users. Also, you get paid $1.00 cash money any time someone signs up using your referral link (and yes, that is my referral link).

If you have an Android device, sign up now, and it’ll let you know when the app is available.

CAUTION!! The privacy information for Ibotta is very short & should be read carefully. I should say the “NO PRIVACY POLICY” Essentially, Ibotta has complete control of of you mobile device – contact list, camera, etc. I declined to launch the app after reading the short policy. We all blindly click “Accept” on Java, Adobe, etc in part because the policy is simply too long. Ibotta is not long but very frightening. Kind of makes me wonder what I have “accepted” from other apps and downloads.
