Still wondering if a CSA (community supported agriculture) may be right for you? I hope that this series shines a spotlight on local farms and CSA programs that are worth checking out! You can read about my personal CSA experience as well.
This week we’re heading over to G&S Orchards in Walworth, NY. HUGE thanks to my friend and reader Cheryl for providing the information.
What CSA do you use and how did you hear of it?
G&S Orchards in Walworth, NY. I heard about it from a friend.
How many weeks does it last?
Went June through November if I remember correctly.
Is it delivery or pick-up?
Pick up at the Farm.
How do you find the selection? Too much of one thing? Not enough of another?
The selection was great. Apples, cherries, rasberries, pumpkins, green beans, peas, etc. We loved that it was mostly fruit and berries since most CSA’s are veggies. Loved that we got some flowers too. Beautiful gladiolas.
Would you recommend it?
I would definitely recommend it. The reasons we didn’t continue are them not having a closer pick up and their prices went up.
