Yes, really. And I don’t even have to use my credit card!
I will admit something upfront: I was skeptical about Ebates and didn’t sign up for a long time. I figured, if Ebates is giving me cash back on my purchases, there must be a catch. Now I regret the amount of time I spent NOT using Ebates that I could have been making money off my online shopping.
How does Ebates work?
When you are going to make a purchase online, check the Ebates website to see if the retailer is listed, and place your order through the Ebates site. You can earn anywhere from 2 to 15% of your purchase in cashback.
How do I get paid?
Every 3 months, Ebates will send you a cash back payment for purchases posted during the previous quarter. If you’ve earned less than $5.01 cashback, they will carry over your money to the next check. You can get cashback through check or paypal.
What stores can I use Ebates to earn cashback through?
Ebates has over 1,200 participating stores including Kohls, Target, Barnes & Noble, Land’s End, Gap Home Depot, Best Buy and so many more!
Let me give you an example. My husband is in desperate need of boots that he can wear to work. We have a gift card to Sears that we would like to use, so I find Sears on the Ebates site and click “Find Coupons.” I realize that I can use a promo code to get 15% off my footwear order at the point of purchase, and in addition, I will get 4% of my purchase price deposited into my Ebates account. I found a great pair of boots with free shipping for only $44.99, and I will get $1.80 deposited in my Ebates account.
How do I sign up?
If you sign up through my referral link, you will be directed to the Ebates site and qualify for a BONUS $10 gift card to Target, Barnes & Noble, or Magazines.com . I don’t know about you, but I’m going to be doing some online shopping in the coming weeks, and if I can earn even a few dollars extra, that would be a bonus.
